IVI is a signatory to the statement "Belgrade Digital Freedom Pledge"

The declaration's goal is to find global and humane solutions to the fundamental challenges and dilemmas posed by new technologies, to propose global standards and regulations, to protect individual rights and freedoms such as the right to privacy and freedom of expression, and to promote individual and collective well-being.

During the conference, prof. Dr. Dubravko Culibrk, acting director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia, highlighted the research groups, mentors, and projects on which the Institute is presently engaged.

“EMERGE 2022” combines the Forum on the Future of Humanity Driven by Artificial Intelligence with the International Scientific Conference on the Digital Society Now. The gathering was organized by the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory's Laboratory for Digital Society in collaboration with the University of Vienna and the American University of Paris, and this year around a hundred of the most important actors in the technology industry, policymakers, and academic researchers gathered at Dorol Platz to discuss the social and economic impact of new technologies.
