Artificial Intelligence has emerged as a critical strategic point and engine of economic development in the European Union, but can Serbia be a regional leader in the development of artificial intelligence?
Is there really a potential in our country for Serbia to reach a competitive world level with its research in this area, how difficult it is to achieve satisfactory results, and whether people get scared when they hear about artificial intelligence are just some of the questions discussed in N1 TV's "Live Day" show.
The show's guests are:
The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia is our state's first institute dedicated to the study of artificial intelligence and its applications in a variety of fields, including the automotive industry, medical diagnostics, financial technologies, increasing business efficiency, and many others.
"Through the Institute, we are attempting to organize ourselves in order to create an atmosphere at the national level where young people have a critical mass of older people who can assist them learn these things as soon as possible and start taking it seriously. I believe there is promise, there are many of our colleagues outside of Serbia who work in similar situations and produce excellent outcomes," said Prof. Dr. Dubravko Ćulibrk, Director of The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia.
The application of artificial intelligence is growing across the world, and the field has made significant development in the recent several decades, particularly in the last ten years.
"We are now working on a project to detect environmental change in the railway belt using satellite data, where artificial intelligence is tasked with determining the function of the land and the percentage of woods, farms, motorways, lakes, and so on. In this way, we can conclude, if we compare over time, what is the estimated forest and whether there is a decline in environmental quality due to the development of technology, settlements, and railways ", said Dr. Slobodan Ilić, a Senior Researcher at The Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Serbia.
