AI Institute at the largest technology event GITEX 2021

Serbia presented itself at GITEX under the brand "Serbia Creates Tech" and it was the first time that our country participated in such a strategic and organized way in the most important technological event in the Middle East and North Africa region and in the world in general. The event was held in Dubai from 17 to 21 October.

For our Institute, this event was a great opportunity to present its ideas and goals in the field of artificial intelligence and to introduce its own experts, standing side by side with experts from the most developed countries in the world. It was also a chance to find out how to improve innovation, what investors are looking for and how to attract investment.

Participants from Serbia, in addition to our Institute, included technology companies and institutions such as the National Data Center, BioSense Institute, "Zesum Mobile", "Saga", "CodeIT", "Devtech", "Braineeing IT Solutions", "Quantox", "Telegroup", "EgzaktaAdvisory" and six startups such as "Joberty Technologies", "Kredium", "Deap Blue Sea", "Stock Studio", "White Lemur", "VLDAM".

Our representatives had the opportunity to participate in expert conferences on the following topics: Smart Cities, Innovation Ecosystem and Incentives, Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture and Blockchain.

As a country of creativity, innovation and engineering excellence, Serbia showed why we are called the "Silicon Valley of the Balkans", how we have become a leader in Blockchain technology and a center of highly skilled talent, but also why it is important that we are one of the few countries in Europe and the world with a specific Strategy for the development of artificial intelligence.

The Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Serbian Development Agency supported Serbia's participation in GITEX. On this occasion, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia met with Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, representatives of universities and prospective investors.
