Nikola Mrkšić, our Advisory Board member and co-founder of PolyAI, recently received great recognition when he was named to the Forbes '30 Under 30: Europe 2021' list in the technology category.
Mrkšić was born and raised in Serbia. He is a graduate of the famous Belgrade Mathematical Gymnasium in Serbia and a former student of the Petnica Research Station. He continued his education at the University of Cambridge, where he also received his PhD. He is recognized for co-founding PolyAI in London in 2017 and for the company's work in developing machine learning for the next generation of conversational user interfaces.
According to Forbes, PolyAI's goal is to support human-machine voice interaction, and its platform allows developers to create chatbots or voice-generated agents that can speak countless world languages, adding that the company has raised $14 million for research so far.
The '30 Under 30' list is published by Forbes magazine and represents young people who are under the age of 30 and have already achieved success in their respective fields of work. The list is divided into different fields such as education, technology, finance, arts, entertainment, social impact, sports and others.
